In celebration of National Police Week, Officer Norris will bring a police car to the Library and conduct a wonderful storytime. Not only will Officer Norris read, he will also demonstrate the lights and sirens for the children.

Dr. Edward Gilbert, Radiation Oncologist at Northpoint Cancer Center in Dallas, has found a way to blend his two hobbies of love for travel and love of photography into beautiful and fascinating, self-published books. He will be here to share with us how these two passions have resulted in over 30 coffee table books documenting his travels and his vision. All guests who join the Friends this evening will receive a free tote bag.

Veterans, military servicemen and families are invited to a brief ceremony on Memorial Day, May 28th in front of City Hall near the Veteran's Monument at the flag poles. A short presentation honoring those who have fought and those who fight today for our country will conclude with the raising of the flag to full staff at noon.
